CAPRI – Walking Tour

Capri, a Mediterranean island of calcareous origin, has been visited over the centuries by intellectuals, artists and writers, all admirers of its magical beauty. A mix of history, nature, worldliness and culture that daily blend together and bring the “Legend of Capri” to life, a legend that sees no comparison anywhere in the world. Our group will be transferred from Marina Grante up to the village of Capri by the famous funicular. Guided walking tour to Augusto’s Gardens to admire the beautiful view of the Faraglini and visit to the famous Piazzetta, the main square of Capri.
After some free time to wonder around, meet with the guide and return to Marina Grante by the funicular.

LIPARI

Lipari, the main island of the archipelago of the Aeolian Island is famous not only for its mythology but also for the beautiful nature environment.
The tour will start with the departure from the pier by modern a/c coach and a local guide and will reach Quattrocchi, where, during a short stop at a view point, you will be able to admire the beautiful panorama over the Archipelago, and you will continue to Quattropani in front of the Island of Salina, before returning to the port of Lipari. A short walk across the picturesque streets of the old village will bring you to the Castle, built by the Spanish on the site of an ancient necropolis. Inside the walls you will be visiting the Cathedral and the Museum where important collections of materials dating back to the pre-historical phases to the Greek and Roman times can be seen.
After the visit you will have some free time in the village before returning to your yacht.

TAORMINA

Departure from the port by your private coach and guide, and driving through the small town of Naxos, you will reach Taormina, one of the most popular Mediterranean sun spots. Taormina, with its delightful medieval character is perched on a terrace overlooking the sea. Upon arrival you will start your walking tour where through the characteristic alleys you will admire the XV century Palazzo Corvaja, indicative of its architectural style, the impressive Greek Theatre, amazing for its spaciousness and extraordinary acoustics. Before returning to the bus you will have some free time for a stroll in the broad pedestrian area.

SIRACUSA – Morning tour

Your morning tour will start with a short drive which will bring you to Neapolis’ Archaeological Park, to visit the Latomia Del Paradiso (stone quarries), the altar of Hieron, the famous “Orecchio di Dionysso” (the ear of Dionysus) the “Cave of the Cordari”, an artificial cave with a particular echo, the spectacular 15000-seat Greek Theatre, among the most impressive to survive from antiquity, and the elliptical Roman amphitheatre, one of the largest of its kind. After the walk visit, you will be driven towards the island of Ortigia, the city’s most ancient section with the remains of the earliest Greek constructions. Upon arrival at the parking area, you will start your walking tour of Ortigia Island. Explore the remains of the Temple of Apollo, the Fountain of Arethusa, and the baroque Cathedral, which incorporates the remains of the famed Temple of Athena. At the end of your guided tour you can walk back to the Pier, or spend some free time in the town.

SIRACUSA (Morning tour) – Approximately € 60 per person

SIRACUSA – Afternoon tour

Departure from the landing pier by your private coach with your local guide for a drive towards Noto. Noto is located on the terraced slopes of Mount Iblei, among olive and almond groves. The current town was rebuilt after the earthquake on the left bank of River Asinaro and was planned on a grid system. This new city occupied a position nearer to the Ionian Sea. The presence of the famous architects Rosario Gagliardi, Francesco Sortino and others, made the new Noto a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque.

Sircacusa is currently listed among the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Enjoy tour visit to Noto with a quiet walk along the central streets where you will be able to admire the 18th century Palazzo Communale, the main baroque churches of St. Nicola, S. Chiara, the Church of Immacolata and the Church of Carmine, as well as the imposing Palazzo Nicolaci di Villa Dorata, built in 1737, whose balconies are a masterpiece of sculpture mixed into architecture.
Free time to enjoy a walk around the the town before your drive back to the pier.

SIRACUSA (Afternoon) – Approximately € 45 per person

MALTA – Morning tour

Today you will be able to get acquainted with the archaeology of Malta – long associated with pre-historic megalithic structures that date back 6000 years. The Megalithic Temples include five pre-historic temples situated on the islands of Malta and Gozo. These temples are known as “the oldest free-standing monuments in the world” and are amongst the most ancient religious sites on Earth. First you will visit Hagar Qim’s shrines to Mother Earth. From here one can see the Mnajdra Temples, 500 meters away closer to the sea and you will then proceed to visit the Tarxien Temples. En route, you will drive to Zurrieq, to view the Blue Grotto from a belvedere, before returning to the yacht.

MALTA (Morning) – Approximately € 45 per person

MALTA – Afternoon tour

Your afternoon tour will start with a drive up Crucifix Hill to the island’s capital city of Valetta. Your first stop will be at the Upper Barracca Gardens, from where you can admire a breath-taking panorama of the Grand Harbour and the 3-Cities on the opposite side. Continue your guided tour through the bustling streets of Valletta and whilst en route admire the various auberges built by the Knights. You will visit the St. John’s Cathedral which is adorned in riches that date back to the times of the Knights of Malta. During the tour you will also be able to admire the Caravaggio’s masterpiece “Beheading of St. John”. The tour will end with a drive back to the pier.

MALTA (Afternoon) – Approximately € 45 per person

LICATA – The Valley of the Temples

Depart from Licata port by private bus with your guide, and in approximately one hour’s drive you reach the wonderful Valley of the Temples, where you will start your walking tour enraptured by the archaeological beauties that are preserved in the celebrated valley. Surrounded in greenery of olive and almond trees admire the Temple of Olympic Jove, one of the biggest temples in antiquity, the Dioscuri Temple, the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Concord, the Temple of Juno and the Tomb of Hero.
After some free time to wonder around, the coach will bring you back to the yacht.

LICATA – Approximately € 55 per person

CEFALU

You will meet your local guide on the pier and you will start your walking discovery of this enchanting village. Cefalu is an old, charming fishermen village, where most of the old houses still retain their typical Sicilian charm even if they have been turned into commercial shops or ateliers. We will visit the Cathedral built in the typical Gothic-Norman style as well as the medieval Wash House. At the end of our walking tour we will have some free time for a stroll along the beautiful narrow streets.
